Resilient Roots Education was born from a deep understanding of the systemic challenges faced by historically underserved students—both in and out of the classroom. Our founders bring firsthand experience to this work: one, an educator and administrator with over 14 years in the school system, and the other, a Ph.D. in psychology specializing in trauma and resilience. Together, we have witnessed the gaps in traditional education and the urgent need for holistic, research-based interventions that center the voices and experiences of marginalized youth.

At Resilient Roots Education, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our mission is to empower historically underrepresented students—including those in juvenile hall, on probation, or at risk of disengagement—by providing the support, resources, and advocacy they need to succeed. Through strategic partnerships with schools, families, and communities, we offer evidence-based programs that foster resilience, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement.

We are rooted in research, community, equity, and resilience, ensuring that best practices, collaborative partnerships, and a deep commitment to justice inform every aspect of our work. We know that when students feel seen, valued, and supported, they can break cycles of inequity and build futures full of possibility.
